Smooth internal communication with Slack (Paid)
Slack has become indisputable – especially in the last 2 years. With WFH becoming a mainstay, Slack has been crucial to team collaboration. I use Slack to communicate, plan and solve problems proactively with my team. We regularly also do audio huddles on-the-go to break away from the monotony of virtual meetings!
I use Slack to communicate with my team in the office and while on-the-go, it’s where my team can reach out to me whenever they need me for our ongoing projects and work matters.
Zoom to help global collaboration (Paid and free)
Although the world is exploring hybrid work environments, virtual working will still continue to occupy a significant portion in that model.
Zoom made it easier for us to come together as a team and business- and really collaborate in these trying times. Especially during product sprints, we used it actively for project management, strategy and review sessions.
As we have offices in different countries, Zoom made it easy for us to schedule meetings, keep track of multiple time zones and have face-to-face interactions as much as possible.
On the flip side, Zoom was used actively for team building activities too. It’s super easy to use, provides a seamless experience, and is compatible with most of the applications we use.

I feel project management is so much easier when I’m able to view the progress and status of our team’s work all in one place and receive real-time updates from the team on the status of our ongoing projects. As a business, we rely heavily on data to drive decisions, and Notion provides us an easy way to organize a huge collection of data into a centralized information system.
Keeping it on the cloud with G-Suite / Google Workspace (Paid and free)
Google Workspace has been indispensable for me, thanks to the myriad of tools it offers. It allows me and my team to work collaboratively as well, as we’re able to track and see changes made by members at all times while we’re working on the same documents. We’re also able to hop on calls and meetings easily to discuss the projects, making work that much easier and even more collaborative.
As it gives the organisation more control and more features, it enables our team to leverage the advanced features to work faster and be better informed. As a CTO, you have to keep an eye on the macro and the micro – Google’s tools capture all the minute information, so that I am always on track.
