The need to adapt and grow your business during the pandemic has let certain brands shine during the depression.

At Tech Collective, we try to shine a light on new and emerging brands that are making strides and disrupting new industries to better understand the market. We came across Relogo Relocation and Relogo Coliving recently, which fit the bill perfectly.

Originally focused on helping people and brands relocate through their ala-carte platform, they have pivoted to include a coliving service.

We spoke to Co-Founder, Yvonne Yeo to find out how her journey brought her to founding the two brands and how they hope to change relocation services in the region. Together with her Co-Founder Clowie Tan, who previously co-founded Chope.

We like to shine the spotlight on Southeast Asia’s entrepreneurs. We speak to SportsnTrain founder Fabrice Nachbaum.

If not working on Relogo Relocation or Relogo Coliving, you can find Yvonne indulging in her favourite past-times of historical learning and singing or spending time with her new family.

Sell us your company/service in 300 words?

Relogo is a relocation and real estate tech company. We have two platforms: Relogo Relocation and Relogo Coliving.

Relogo Relocation is a one-stop platform offering a-la-carte relocation services to empower self-managed moves. Our goal is to make relocation affordable and accessible for everyone, from students to senior executives.

We connect you with trusted vendors both before and after you move, helping you make informed decisions the entire way. Whether you’re searching for movers to get you to your new city, or for cleaning services as you slowly settle in, we’ll save you time and money by sourcing for vendors to fit your personal requirements/needs.

If you require more assistance, our professional concierge team can handle any and all details involved in relocating. We provide the important information you need, and guide you through the process to ensure you have a smooth and stress-free move.

After noticing an increased demand for short-term accommodation rentals, Relogo launched our second platform, Relogo Coliving, this June. The home rental platform harnesses smart search technology to recommend listings based on users’ profile and search criteria, while showcasing local coliving brands to an international audience. The professionally managed accommodations are move-in ready with flexible lease terms, where users can select either flat-shares or private apartments across a variety of property types.

Our promise to you: Book Wisely. Rest Easy.

What is stopping you from having the largest company in the world?

Our goal is to be the go-to brand for global users and providers, with top-of-mind awareness, regardless of the scale of our company.

Hence, Relogo aims to scale with meaningful purpose. We work to continuously improve our tech solutions to truly solve pain points for our users and providers.

We also believe in quality growth by building a solid foundation together with an A-Team. We want to be the choice employer and partner for our team members and providers respectively.

These key factors are important to us in order to build a successful international company.

If you could change one thing about the tech industry in Southeast Asia, what would it be?

Providing more support and opportunities for founders from a non-tech background.

I think subject matter experts have lots to offer to the tech industry too, however, some are fearful to share because they don’t speak “tech”, even though they might have a great idea or solution to offer. These are concepts they have personally experienced and gathered, valuable ideas and input that should be encouraged by having the chance to gather the right team to execute their vision.

We speak to first-time entrepreneur and former educator Eileen Choo about Practicle and their efforts to change education.

This is a reflection from my personal experience as a non-tech person breaking into the tech industry. Entering a new industry can be intimidating for most, but do not let fear stop you!

Name one person in the region, who is making a difference in Technology?

Team Grab. As an entrepreneur myself, I know the success of a company is never because of one person, as it is a team’s effort. Hence, Team Grab!

I use this app everyday, be it for ride-hailing, food delivery, payment, delivery etc. I would like our users to also identify Relogo’s platform to be THE solution for all services related to one’s relocation journey.

It has created true value for me as a user, and I appreciate its user testing and understanding process before introducing each new feature on its app.

Another area I admire Grab for is its hiring inclusion, providing job opportunities to one and all, removing any limitations. This should be the mindset for all employers.

What would you want people to remember you for, 100 years from now?

I hope that each person I have worked with would have a fond memory of learning something from me, be it a skill, a leadership experience or words of wisdom (I do talk a lot) based on the time spent with them. Whether it is positive or negative (hopefully mostly positive), every experience is a learning opportunity, and we never know the impact we might have left on someone. It is always heart-warming to hear about it when you get the chance to reconnect again.

Finally, I wish to leave a legacy through my contributions as an entrepreneur, a leader, a team member, a mother, a wife, a daughter and a sister.
